Bringing our dog from Kenya to Dubai is not an easy feat but with Georgina from Paws & Planes we felt well advised and supported throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

FAQS

Yes, certain airlines allow small pets (typically under 8kg including the carrier) to fly in-cabin to the UAE. We'll help you identify the best airline options and ensure your pet meets all requirements for cabin travel.
Pets travel in a pressurized, temperature-controlled section of the aircraft. The cargo hold maintains the same pressure and similar temperature as the cabin. Your pet will be in an IATA-approved crate with water and familiar bedding.
Your pet needs an IATA-approved travel crate sized so they can stand, turn around, and lie down comfortably. We provide properly sized crates and can help with crate training before travel day.
Upon arrival, your pet will go through customs clearance and veterinary inspection. We handle all arrival logistics including customs paperwork, quarantine liaison (if required), and can arrange collection and delivery to your home.
Pets entering the UAE need a valid microchip, up-to-date rabies vaccination, a health certificate from an accredited vet, an import permit from MOCCAE, and a rabies titer test depending on the origin country's risk classification.
We recommend starting at least 4-6 weeks before your travel date. Some destinations require longer preparation, especially if a rabies titer test is needed (which can take 3-4 weeks for results). Contact us early for the smoothest process.
Snub-nosed (brachycephalic) breeds like Bulldogs, Pugs, and Persian cats face airline restrictions due to breathing difficulties at altitude. While some airlines have banned them entirely, others accept them with conditions. We'll find the safest route for your pet.
Yes, we offer comprehensive door-to-door services that cover every step of your pet's journey, from collection at your home to delivery at the destination. This includes all paperwork, vet visits, crate provision, and airport handling.
Costs vary depending on your pet's size, the origin country, travel method (cargo vs cabin), and required health testing. Contact us for a personalized quote tailored to your specific situation.
The UAE has restrictions on certain breeds considered dangerous, including Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and wolf hybrids. The full list is maintained by MOCCAE. Contact us if you're unsure about your breed.
Low-risk countries include the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and most EU countries among others. Pets from low-risk countries face fewer requirements. We'll confirm your country's status and advise accordingly.
